  1. TCP/IP

    Acronym for : Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) on top of the Internet Protocol (IP). Protocols developed by DARPA for the provision of communication between different types of networked computers. Internet Protocol is a connectionless protocol providing packet routing. TCP is connection-oriented providing reliable communication and multiplexing.

  2. TELNET

    Terminal emulation protocol that lets a user log in to remote computers on the Internet. telnet clients use a command line interface and run on the TCP/IP protocol.

  3. Terabyte

    A way of tracing hops between the local and remote, networked computer.
